I couldn’t resist change.

I’m glad I came up with the „Green Eyes Project“, where said change finds some space. I will stop working for a while. It was an honour to have mostly helped the fibre-based and forest-based industries in their mission for sustainability in packaging. I appreciate that I was able to spend my first profound working years supporting an industry that is so much about innovation and „fighting the good fight“. I’ve reached out and connected with educators and students all over Europe and even met some of them at amazing events, which I helped create. During times in virtual classrooms doing presentations for hungry minds, in friendly conversations on the phone or face-to-face even, I’ve learned a lot from the young talents and educators when they shared their stories, passions and love for the environment and the humans in it with me. I’ve learned about great companies that are driven by greater people and I’m most grateful for everyone I got to meet along the way. Special thanks to my mentor Suzanne Mc Ewen, with whom I have found beautiful synergies in the many years of working together.

But what’s next?

The projects I’ve been working on really took off and I’m super proud of how they’ve grown. I might have simply grown out of them and now I’m looking for new adventures. But first, I’ll take a deep breath, and take some time off to recharge and re-calibrate. Since I was a kid I wanted to go to Canada. This summer I will! Can’t wait to see what the future holds and I hope we’ll meet again in it!

Speak soon,
Helena
